Rihanna for Fendi 2015

Fendi has just announced that one of their new designer’s for their handbag empire will be Rihanna.  Congrats!  For all you Fendi lovers there will be a new flagship store opening in February on Madison Avenue in New York City.  Rihanna was tagged along with Sarah Jessica Parker and other celebrity women to put their spin on the new ‘3Baguette’ purse.

There is a spin to this story though.  The women that have been chosen to design their handbags will not benefit from their proceeds.  Each celebrity has worked with Fendi’s designer,  Silvia Venturini Fendi to create the handbags for their favorite charities.  Word has it that Rihanna’s purse is ‘black and spiky’–sounds Rihannaesque.  Her charity of choice supports bettering communities.

I’ve always been a lover of the Fendi brand and to know they are teaming up with some of our favorites as a way to ‘give back’ makes the fashion house that much more respected.  If given the chance in February visit the new flagship store.  Details to come….

New Year, New Problems?

Who isn’t excited on New Years Eve?  Most of us are enchanted by the idea of entering a new year.  We armor up with resolutions and promises.  We take all of our hopes and wait for the clock to strike 12.  But how honest are we being with ourselves?

New Year’s Eve sets the stage for what we hope will be a productive, loving, and prosperous next 12 months but little do we know, we really “do” know what awaits us in the new year.  A new year is just a continuation of the previous year.  Chances are if you didn’t handle your affairs properly in the previous year those same affairs will be waiting for you in the new year.  A new year does not promise anything more or new until you tie up loose ends that hang in the balance.

Your wish should be that there are no new problems in a new year.  Although we know this isn’t realistic either.  Of course there will be new problems.  Some of us will meet new people, begin new jobs, relocate to new environments and all of these things can bring new stressors to our existence.  The way to really handle a new year is to address old issues.  Remove people from your life that were not supportive.  Look at your new year as a benchmark to complete tasks and undertake new goals that will produce fruitful experiences.  Surround yourself with family and friends that will provide you with constructive criticism and will remind you to get your act together!  If you create a blueprint and stick to a regimen throughout the year—the next New Year’s Eve you can wipe the slate clean and really celebrate with meaning.

With love,

There is so much to talk about and ‘deconstruct’ within Pop Culture….and you can read about it all here!
